Food
Prayer

The source of drink and
food let us remember
To give thanks daily from
January to December.
Nutured by nature's bounty
sun and rain
To the maker of all
we speak very plain.
| |
May this meal help us
to common cause
Respecting no harm as
we give pause.
May all the holy future,
present, and past
Feed our minds at this
sacred repast.
| |
Those that sit thank
the cook's labor and skill
Then enumerate those
that need grace to fill.
We change the speaker
so all can partake
Offer up words for
the makers sake.
The list may be long or short depends
on time
Does not have to be profound or end in
rythme.
